Kanza Services offers complete re-manufacture of Pandrol Jackson or HTT Model 6700 Switch Production Tampers. Our staff includes former Pandrol Jackson employees who have decades of experience. Completed units re-manufactured at Kanza will be commissioned into service by trained service technicians who are available for warranty service if required. We specialize in 6700 service but also offer service assistance for “any” M of W equipment at a competitive daily rate plus expenses.

Kanza offers Production 5700 Tampers in standard gauge as well as narrow gauges of 1000mm and 1067mm. The 5700 line of Tampers utilizes our proven workhead design that is used in the 6700 re-manufacturing program. The 5700-VG is manufactured so that the customer can configure the machine to work on either Meter or Cape gauge railroads.

The new Kanza Model 3700 Tamper is a robust utility tamper that can be applied in all types of track conditions, from firming up ties in a tie replacement gang to supporting a production tamper as a pup. The components used to manufacture the 3700 are the same components we use in our 6700 Tamper program. The size, weight and robust nature of the components make the 3700 a durable tamper that can penetrate any set of ballast conditions. The 3700 can also be configured with an optional personnel carrier which can safely haul additional workers. Configured with the personnel carrier, the 3700 can carry 14 workers in addition to the machine operator.

Kanza also can provide service assistance for Pandrol Jackson or Harsco Technologies Model 6700 Switch Production Tampers at a fixed rate per day plus travel expenses. Kanza Services' Railcar Repair Shop is located in Parsons, Kansas. The historic former MKT locomotive shop, with more than 200,000 square feet of indoor repair space, was modernized in 1995 after a devastating fire. The shop has two 60 ton overhead cranes and tracks elevated over pits, plus a modern down draft paint booth and a fabrication shop. The facility has storage space for up to 280 railcars.
Our shop is AAR approved to do AAR Rule 95 work as well as other light running repairs. Union Pacific services our car repair plant and has a yard facility adjacent to our tracks.
